Dr Sameer Bajaj is a Periodontist at Walden Dental Wellness in Calgary
Meet Dr. Sameer Bajaj, a dedicated and experienced periodontist (Certified Specialist in Periodontology). Dr. Bajaj graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry in 2018. After graduation, he worked as a general dentist in Grande Prairie, Alberta, until August 2019.
Periodontics is one of the ten specialties recognized by the Canadian Dental Regulatory Authorities Federation. Among these specialties, there are only two surgical disciplines, with periodontics being one of them. Periodontists are often called the plastic surgeons of the mouth, proficient in both hard and soft tissue reconstruction of gums and bones.
Dr. Bajaj completed his Master of Medical Science—Periodontology, a three-year surgical residency program at the University of Alberta, in 2022. He is currently practicing as a periodontist in Calgary, where he utilizes his clinical expertise in treating periodontal diseases, performing periodontal plastic procedures, reconstructing hard and soft tissues, and surgically placing dental implants. He is passionate about dental photography and documents his cases to educate his referring dentists and patients.
Dr. Bajaj is a dual board-certified Periodontist (Canadian and American). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
He is fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu, which enables him and his team to assist a diverse range of patients more effectively.
In his free time, Dr. Bajaj enjoys traveling, cooking, and staying physically fit through swimming and strength training.
